What you do here
You register articles and products (name, SKU, category, unit) and maintain price, stock and minimum stock. Use the status board or the list to stay on top and spot what needs reordering.
Tips
The „Reorder“ tab instantly shows every article whose stock has reached or fallen below its minimum. Keep purchase and sales price separate so margin and inventory value add up later. Set phased-out articles to Discontinued via the board or „Set status“ instead of deleting them, so the history is preserved. Articles are the shared building block for trade and warehouse: orders, sales, inventory and goods receipt build on them.
Legal requirements
Retention (HGB §257): Master data underlying accounting records and commercial correspondence – such as stock and price changes of articles – must generally be retained for six years. Enter the end of the statutory period under „Retain until“ in the „Retention“ section; expired records are then deleted in line with data-protection and commercial law. Auditability (GoBD): Stock and price changes must remain traceable. Do not delete phased-out articles – set them to „Discontinued“ (status) instead, so history and document basis are preserved (void instead of delete). The „Created by“ and „Updated by“ fields show who created and last changed the record. Food (LMIV, Reg. (EU) No 1169/2011): Flag food items in the „Food“ section via „Food“ and – where traceability is required – via „Lot/batch required“ (traceability under Reg. (EC) No 178/2002 Art. 18). Price indication (PAngV): For comparability and correct price indication, standardise the quantity unit („Unit“) – it is the basis for later unit-price/price indications.
